Adjustment of the renewal program for the professional road transport fleet in Morocco for submission to the GCF

Although the transport sector is one of Morocco’s key sectors for economic development, it is hindered by an outdated professional road transport fleet. Recognizing this, in 2006 the government launched a program to renew the nation’s freight and public transport vehicles. The program is one of the actions planned to help achieve the 45.5% emissions reduction target in Morocco’s enhanced Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC).

It is in this context that ACS has been entrusted to adjust the renewal program to meet the criteria to access financing from the Green Climate Fund.
