Development of energy performance standards and requirements for motorbikes and three-wheelers in Morocco

Launched by the Moroccan Agency for Energy Efficiency (AMEE) and carried out by ACS, this project aims to structure Morocco’s motorized two- and three-wheeled motor vehicle sector by developing an energy and carbon performance reference framework. This project will support the transport sector to meet Morocco’s energy efficiency goal to reduce energy consumption by 35% by 2030.

Within the framework of this project, ACS developed a technical and regulatory reference framework adapted to the national context for the motorized two- and three-wheeled motor vehicle sector. The framework has served as a basis for the definition of energy consumption levels for motorbikes in Morocco, allowing for the development of national energy labels for motorbikes.
