Douaa Elghella, is a junior consultant at Africa Climate Solutions (ACS). She contributes to strategic projects in the fields of energy transition, renewable energy, sustainability,and green hydrogen development. At ACS, she has worked on feasibility studies for hydrogen production in an industrial zone in Morocco and is currently involved in a feasibility study on sustainable e-fuels bunkering in Moroccan ports. Her role includes conducting technical and economic analyses, supporting project design and assessment, and contributing to the development of low-carbon strategies. She holds an engineering degree in Energy Engineering from the National School of Mines in Rabat (ENSMR). Through her technical background and analytical approach, she supports companies and institutions in advancing sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives.
Zaineb Kouzibri leads ACS’s Carbon Markets & Pricing practice, where she drives the development and implementation of high-integrity carbon projects across Morocco. She specializes in developing and scaling carbon market initiatives, with a focus on high-integrity approaches under Article 6 mechanisms. Her work spans from program design to implementation, ensuring projects are both market-ready and aligned with national climate priorities. With a strong foundation in climate finance, she translates sustainability goals into financeable carbon pathways, from program conception to credit issuance and transaction. Her expertise includes building MRV-ready frameworks, navigating regulatory requirements, and structuring results-based mechanisms that deliver credible, measurable, and marketable outcomes.
Zaineb holds a Master’s in Environmental Management and is a Certified Expert in Climate & Renewable Energy Finance from the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management.
Zaineb Chouaib is a Project Manager at Africa Climate Solutions (ACS) with a strong track record in the energy and environment sectors. Since joining ACS in 2020, she has supported and led projects in renewable energy, energy efficiency, sustainable buildings, and eco-cities from project sizing to techno-economic and financial feasibility. Zaineb advises clients on green-building certification pathways, including LEED and EDGE, and develops practical tools for environmental impact assessment and monitoring.
Boble-wendé is a project manager who has designed, analyzed, and scoped renewable energy, microgrid, and energy storage projects for public and private facilities. He is presently working as an engineer for the Green Economy Finance Facility in Morocco – (GEFF Morocco II). He focuses on energy efficiency, working with clients and partners to retrofit facilities, reduce operational consumption, and deliver the best long‑term value on efficiency upgrades.
Boble-wendé has been educated in Burkina Faso and Morocco. He holds an engineering degree in environment from National School of Applied Science of Al-Hoceima.
Khawla Rouis’s experience in the study and evaluation of sustainable and ecological construction projects as a green building engineer highlights her expertise in efficiency measures within the building sector. She also works across the broader fields of energy and energy efficiency, extending her expertise beyond buildings to encompass integrated sustainability solutions. Her strategic contributions to green building , her involvement in EDGE Green Building certification projects, and her environmental expertise significantly strengthen her role in the project.
Ms. Khawla holds a Master’s degree in Green Buildings and Energy Efficiency from Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P).
Maha El Mahdaoui is a junior consultant at Africa Climate Solutions (ACS), where she is part of the Carbon Markets & Pricing team. She supports the development and implementation of high-integrity mitigation activities under Article 6 mechanisms, specializing in translating climate ambition into financeable carbon pathways that are both market-ready and aligned with national priorities.
Her expertise spans program design to implementation, covering MRV-ready frameworks, regulatory navigation, and results-based mechanisms that deliver credible, measurable, and marketable outcomes. In parallel, she contributes to environmental and climate adaptation studies, applying integrated approaches to assess risks, resilience, and co-benefits across water, energy, and industrial systems.
Maha holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Climate Change and Sustainable Development, and a Bachelor’s degree in Process Engineering. She has completed specialized training on Article 6.2 Operationalization with UNDP, UNFCCC, and SECO of Switzerland, and holds an Expert Certificate in African Carbon Markets Development Strategies from CAIDA.
Fansé KONE, a Malian national, is a junior consultant at Africa Climate Solutions (ACS). He works on strategic assignments related to energy transition, resource efficiency, and climate finance.
At ACS, he contributes both to the project teams and the Business Development unit, actively supporting the preparation and follow-up of tenders. He is also involved in the implementation of EBRD-funded programs, such as the Green Economy Financing Facility (GEFF) and the Green Value Chain Facility (GVC). His responsibilities include the technical assessment of energy efficiency projects, drafting of evaluation reports (PAR, SAR, FAR), and developing technical methodologies tailored to the Moroccan market.
He holds an engineering degree in mechanical engineering, with a specialization in energy, from the École Nationale Supérieure d’Arts et Métiers of Meknès (ENSAM Meknès). He leverages his technical training and analytical skills to support companies and financial institutions in advancing sustainability and energy performance initiatives.
A State Engineer in Mechanical and Energy Engineering, graduated from the National School of Arts and Trades (ENSAM-Meknès), Amagana Doumbo joined Africa Climate Solutions as a Project Engineer. His work focuses on the design and support of projects related to the energy and climate transition. He is particularly involved in energy efficiency, decarbonization, sustainable water management, and the promotion of the circular economy. Within ACS, he has contributed to several assignments for national and international institutions such as the World Bank, UNIDO, EBRD, ITC, and UNDP.
His responsibilities include technical analysis, proposing emission reduction solutions, and supporting the implementation of green financing.
Ihsane Asakour is Technology & Insights Coordinator at Africa Climate Solutions, where she designs and deploys digital tools to accelerate the energy transition, industrial decarbonization, and efficiency strategies. She specializes in leveraging artificial intelligence, data science, and web development to transform complex sustainability challenges into actionable, data-driven solutions.
Ihsane holds a Master’s in Data Science and Decision Support and a Bachelor’s in Mathematics and Computer Science. She is proficient in Python (Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, Seaborn), SQL, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, ArcGIS, Power BI, and WordPress. She combines strong technical expertise with strategic vision and operational delivery to support ACS’s advisory and digital transformation missions.
Yassine Amzil is a Project Engineer at ACS, where he leads the design and implementation of digital and data-driven solutions to support solar deployment and energy transition initiatives in Morocco. He focuses on building monitoring and verification systems, enabling transparent data collection and analysis for large-scale renewable energy and decarbonization programs.
With a strong background in data science, he specializes in applying advanced analytics and machine learning to energy audits, industrial efficiency assessments, and demand-side management studies. His work spans from developing MRV-ready digital platforms to conducting comprehensive audits and building predictive models that guide decision-making and carbon reduction strategies.
Yassine holds a Master’s in Data Science from Cadi Ayyad University and a Bachelor’s in Software Engineering from Moulay Ismail University. He is also certified in Machine Learning and Deep Learning from Stanford University.
Oumaima is an administrative manager who is responsible for monitoring and coordinating numerous administrative tasks inside ACS. With over 5 years of expertise, she is in charge of overseeing day-to-day operations, guaranteeing efficient workflow, and ensuring excellent communication among divisions. Oumaima frequently oversees administrative employees, design and implement administrative policies and procedures, manage budgets and resources, organize meetings and events, and oversee facilities and office maintenance.
She also works with other managers to promote company goals, solves problems, and carries out strategic initiatives.
Othman serves as Head of Green Economy at Africa Climate Solutions (ACS). Since joining ACS in 2017, he has built a field-driven practice spanning site diagnostics, data collection, and techno-economic evaluation.
He has contributed to numerous strategic studies and implementation programs, notably the Moroccan Sustainable Energy Financing Facility (MorSEFF), Green Economy Financing Facility (GEFF) and the Green Value Chain (GVC) facility, where he assessed industrial projects across every region of Morocco, quantifying energy, water, and waste savings and aligning opportunities with financing criteria.
Yassine serves as operations and projects director at ACS, specializing in renewable energy and energy efficiency across industrial and utility contexts. At ACS, he leads strategic roadmaps, feasibility studies, and financing assessments, ensuring projects are technically sound, bankable, and aligned with donor and lender requirements. His work spans resource assessments, techno-economic modeling, risk analysis, and KPI/MRV design for implementation.
Before joining ACS, Yassine was a Project Manager in Sustainable Finance at Bank of Africa (BoA), where he managed and assessed clean energy transactions including work on the development of a 200 MW wind project in Tangier financed via a green bond. This unique blend of engineering and financing experience enables him to translate technical potential into investable projects.
Mohamed Alaoui is the Founder and Managing Director of ACS, bringing 25+ years of international experience at the intersection of climate action, sustainable energy, environmental impact assessment, and climate finance. He has led multidisciplinary teams delivering technical assistance to international financial institutions (IFIs) and public and private clients, helping design, evaluate, and scale low-carbon solutions across the MENA region.
Before launching ACS, Mohamed worked at Applied Materials (California), where he developed green-energy technologies and manufacturing processes most notably thin-film solar laying the foundation for ACS’s engineering depth and innovation culture. His leadership combines technical rigor, pragmatic delivery, and financing know-how, enabling projects that are technically sound, compliant, and bankable from early diagnostics through implementation and MRV.
